Surin earned its "Millionaire's Mile" nickname honestly. This short ribbon of west-coast sand, with Catch Beach Club at its heart and the hidden cove of Laem Singh just over the headland, is fringed by the most expensive villas on Phuket. The steep hills above the bay deliver the sweeping sea views that buyers pay for, and because there is only a sliver of developable beachfront, genuine scarcity underpins the whole market. That scarcity has translated into Phuket's strongest capital growth, villas cited at 10-15% and condos 7-10% annually through 2024-25, fuelled by foreign buyers who make up the majority of demand. Professionally managed luxury rentals reach high-single-digit gross yields on peak-season rates. The risks are those of any ultra-prime resort market: a narrow high-end tenant pool, seasonality, and Thailand's land rules, which require villa buyers to use leasehold or Thai company structures since non-Thais cannot own land. Condos remain freehold within the 49% building quota.
