About Maradhoo

Maradhoo is the calm residential heart of the causeway-linked Addu City chain, set between the airport island of Gan to the south and the administrative centre of Hithadhoo to the north. Greener and quieter than its neighbours, it has a settled village character of local diners, tea shops and tree-lined lanes, with the inter-island causeway making both Gan's dive sites and Hithadhoo's markets an easy cycle away. For investors, Maradhoo offers steady residential demand and a foothold near Gan's tourism and aviation economy without the airport-island intensity. The familiar Maldives constraints apply: no foreign freehold, with participation via lease, guesthouse operation or licensed development. As a quieter island its tourism upside is more modest than Gan's, and the broader risks of Addu's distance from Male and uneven development pace continue to temper the investment case.
