About Karşıyaka

Across the Gulf from the city centre, Karşıyaka pairs a dense, pedestrian Çarşı shopping core with a long seaside promenade that runs west into Bostanlı's famous sunset pier and bike paths. Ferries, the İZBAN commuter rail and the coastal tram knit it tightly to Konak and Alsancak. It is secular, middle-class and family-anchored, with one of the strongest neighbourhood identities in Izmir. Buyers get genuine coastal living, low rental vacancy and prices below the central Kordon, at the cost of a cross-gulf commute to the historic centre, and with real USD growth far flatter than the nominal lira figures.
