About Cha-Am

Cha-Am is a coastal resort town just north of Hua Hin (technically in neighbouring Phetchaburi but functionally part of the greater Hua Hin coast), famous for its long sandy beach lined with casuarina trees, deckchairs and seafood vendors. Traditionally a favourite of Thai holidaymakers, it offers a more local, lower-key resort experience than Hua Hin proper, with water parks, golf courses and a relaxed beachfront strip. For buyers, Cha-Am is among the more affordable beach markets on this coast, with condominiums and pool villas priced below central Hua Hin while still offering beach proximity. Rental demand leans toward domestic and seasonal visitors. Investors should weigh the strong seasonality of a predominantly Thai-holiday market, oversupply risk in the resort-condo segment, and Thailand's foreign-ownership restrictions limiting purchases to leasehold or condo freehold quotas.
